Reporting Day: 2012 Preseason Camp Opens For Pirates

East Carolina Returns 15 Starters, 48 Lettermen

Has earned deserved rise on the defensive two-deep heading into his third full year on the active roster … Finished spring drills listed as the top reserve at the “will” outside linebacking position behind Joe Allely … A personable defender who also offers a level of physicality and possesses a work ethic that should continue to fuel development … Could also play a pivotal role on various special teams squads … Did not record statistics in the first spring scrimmage (March 28) or the Purple-Gold Game (April 18), but tallied a pair of tackles – including a sack for a five-yard loss – in the second outing on April 11 … Rapidly increasing strength and conditioning testing numbers include a bench press of 355 pounds, a back squat of 560, a power clean of 290 and a push jerk of 288 ...
