A multi-dimensional lineman who hopes to bounce back from injuries to both shoulders that sidelined him from full contact for the entire spring practice period … Can play either guard or tackle and will enter preseason camp listed as a reserve at both on the right side … Expected to compete with Larry Williams (guard) or Dontae Levingston (tackle) … Was the Pirates’ top right guard for the first two games and started at right tackle the last three contests as a junior … Has made a consistent rise on unit’s two-deep during career and starting designation could be regained with full recovery of injuries … Has experienced action in 19 career games with 11 starts … Has helped ECU record 400 yards or more in 17 of 19 games played … Did not participate in strength and conditioning testing during the spring … Lifts of significance in past off-season workouts include a 335-pound bench press, a 485-pound back squat, a 270-pound power clean and a 275-pound push jerk … Also ranked among top 50 percent of unit with a 24.5” vertical leap and a 7’9” broad jump.
2014: Appeared in 11 games, making five starts (two at right guard, three at right tackle) ... Opened first two contests against N.C. Central and South Carolina at guard and closed out season with three-straight starts at tackle (Tulsa, UCF and Florida in the Birmingham Bowl) … Did not play against Virginia Tech or Tulane … Significantly aided a unit that averaged 533.0 yards of total offense (161.1/rush, 371.9/pass), which ranked fifth nationally ... Helped ECU’s offense put up a school-record 789 total yards (446/pass, 343/rush) against North Carolina ... Played key role for a squad that surpassed 500 yards of total offense in seven of 11 games played (582/N.C. Central, 789/North Carolina, 581/SMU, 580/Connecticut, 579/Cincinnati, 510/Tulsa, 536/Florida) - 400-plus in all 11 contests ... Helped ECU record 440 yards or more of total offense against Southern Miss (476), Tulsa (505), UAB (season-high 625), NC State (445), Marshall (440) and Ohio (568) ... Provided pass protection for three of Shane Carden’s seven 300-yard passing games ... 2012: Did not experience any game action as a redshirt freshman, but again served as a member of the scout team.
2011: Redshirted during true rookie season and contributed efforts on scout squad … Signed with the Pirate program in February.
