East Carolina Wraps Up First Week Of Spring Work

Officially enrolled early at ECU in January of 2013 and joined Pirates for spring drills, thus signed a grant-in-aid with the program instead of a letter-of-intent (per NCAA policy) ... Booked three stops and recovered a fumble during his first collegiate scrimmage on April 6 ... Collected another loose ball and added two tackles a week later in the second tilt, but was not credited with any statistics in the Purple-Gold Game.

High School: A four-year varsity starter (defensive end, running back, quarterback, linebacker) for head coach Randall Gusler at Statesville High School ... A three-star recruit according to ESPN.com and Scout.com who was No. 19 on Tom Lemming's Top 25 Big Backs list ... ESPN.com also labeled him as the 24th-best prospect in the state North Carolina ... Selected to play in the Annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas ... Chosen as the 3A North Piedmont Player-of-the-Year ...
