A capable defensive and special teams performer who hopes to bounce back into a more prominent role on both squads after enduring a decrease in playing time as a sophomore ... Will open the 2010 campaign vying for a place on the depth chart, most likely at one of the safety positions because of athleticism, quickness and field vision ... Should also be counted on to serve various special teams roles for a second-straight season ... Opened spring scrimmage play with five tackles (April 3) ... Did not make any stops during the second tilt (April 10), but rebounded with five hits in the Purple-Gold Game (April 17).

2009: Played in five games and was credited with a pair of kickoff return tackles ... Tallied an assist against UAB and Southern Miss in key victories that allowed ECU to claim its second consecutive Conference USA East Division championship ... Also experienced action against North Carolina, Tulsa and Houston, but did not record any statistics.

2008: Played role as one of East Carolina's top special teams stalwarts during initial season on Pirates' active roster ... Played in eight games, but experienced limited action in the secondary ... Totaled seven tackles (four solo), all coming on special teams assignments to rank third on unit ... Turned in a career-high two stops on two occasions - vs. UAB and UTEP in back-to-back weeks ... Logged single tallies against Southern Miss, Tulsa (Conference USA Championship Game) and Kentucky (AutoZone Liberty Bowl) ... Tackles against Golden Hurricane and Wildcats were both solo hits ... Did not play in first six games, thus made collegiate debut against Memphis at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium and remained in special teams lineup for the rest of the year.

2007: Redshirted during initial season in ECU program ... Officially signed with the Pirates in February, 2007.

High School: Averaged 13.5 yards per reception as a senior, recording 66 catches for 893 yards and seven touchdowns for Southern Alamance High School ... A three-year letterman and two-year starter as a wide receiver and safety for the Patriots and prep coach Tony Perrou ... Rushed for 400 yards as a back while also pulling in 22 catches for 320 yards as a receiver in 2005 as a junior ... Has distinction of returning a kickoff 90 yards in his first game against Burlington-Cummings ... Also earned three letters as a track standout, competing in the 200-meter and relay events.
