Sharp Passing Effort, Physical Play Dominate Second Scrimmage
A special teams stalwart as a rookie who is expected to take the next step in career by vying for a key reserve role at one of the inside linebacking positions behind Jeremy Grove ... Will open sophomore campaign competing with Ty Holmes as two-year starter Jeremy Grove's top backup at the "mike" inside linebacking slot ... Should also play a key role on Pirate special teams again after noteworthy contributions during first year on active roster ... Opened spring scrimmage competition in an impressive manner, topping all tacklers with 11 tackles (two TFLs, one sack) on April 6 ... Added a single hit and a pass knockdown a week later before finishing with three stops in the Purple-Gold Game on April 20 ... Turned in lifts of 370 pounds (bench press), 500 (back squat) and 308 (power clean) during ECU's spring strength and conditioning testing.
2012: Played in all 13 games as a member of the special teams unit as a redshirt freshman ... Topped the Pirates with 18 special teams stops (15/KO, 3/punt) ...
