GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina Department of Athletics announced today that the official ballot for the Most Memorable Game inside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium is now open for fan voting.
As part of the activities surrounding the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, the Pirate Nation will have the opportunity to vote online for their most memorable game by clicking here . Voting will run through Friday, June 15.
Fans will have a chance to pick which game they consider the most memorable (dating back to 1963) with the results being revealed during the 2013 home football season. The Pirate Nation can vote for up to 15 games from the selected list and/or write-in another one they feel is worthy of consideration. (Note: A write-in vote will count towards one of your 15 selections).
Last week ECU released its voting ballot for the All-Time Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium Team, where fans are currently deciding who they think is the best player (since 1963) at each position, as well as the all-time head coach.
An online fan message forum was also been created where the Pirate Nation can share their favorite memories of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, whether it involves a certain player, coach, game or even a special personal moment. Simply click here, scroll to the bottom of the page, complete the information boxes below and click "submit." The editorial staff of ECUPirates.com will post the remarks on a regular basis so everyone will know why you cherish East Carolina Football, Bagwell Field and Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
