Last night we had a joint catered dinner on Waikiki Beach courtesy of Outback Steakhouse. The live band was surprisingly very very good and combining that with the sunset made for an unreal evening. Later in the program, we had a pep-rally and our Pirate Spirit really came out.PeeDee made the trip with his Tropical shirt and with the help of the rest of the Cheer team had the beach rockin! We showed Boise State and the rest of those in attendance what even a fraction of the Pirate Nation was all about.

Today started out with a quick bite before we headed to practice at Aloha Stadium. Practice was great, a very intense effort from both sides of the ball. Today was hot, and unfortunately we had very little of that misting rain that comforted us yesterday. After practice we grabbed a box lunch and made our way to Pearl Harbor.

We just got back from Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial, wow! What a somber visit and a true reality check to remind us that football may seem like life or death, but it is truly just a game. As we made it to the memorial and looked over the remains, several patches of oil sprung from the USS Arizona, a very special moment for everyone to witness. That to me made those servicemen's sacrifice that day come to life seeing how the lifeblood from that ship is still seeping out. What an amazing experience.

Despite all of the great events planned for us, this is a business trip, so once again we're heading to position meetings.

Aloha, Go Pirates!
