GREENVILLE, N.C. - Individual tickets for the Pirates' season opener against Virginia Tech will go on sale to the general public and East Carolina University students Friday, August 1 beginning at 9:00 a.m. according to an announcement by the ECU Athletics Ticket Office Thursday.

Tickets for the August 30 contest at Bank of America Stadium, which are priced at $55.00 each, will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fans can make their purchases online at www.ECUPirates.com, by calling 800-DIAL-ECU or by visiting the ECU Athletics Ticket Office.

Season ticket packages will continue to be available through the annual "Meet the Pirates" event Saturday, August 16 or until a sell-out occurs. With single-game sell-outs already anticipated for the Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Houston contests, it is strongly recommended that fans purchase season tickets to guarantee seats to those highly-anticipated matchups.
