ECU Athletics introduces Senior Tunnel for UAB game on Nov. 16
Nov. 11, 2013
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Five-hundred graduating seniors will have a chance to be a part of the Inaugural Senior Tunnel, which will be debuted this weekend at the East Carolina-UAB football game. Saturday's kickoff has been slated for 2 p.m. (EST).
ECU Athletics is inviting graduating seniors onto the field at halftime to form a tunnel for the Pirates to run through when they take the field for the second half against the Blazers.
How do you get to be one of the lucky 500? Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 12 Student Pirate Club Seniors will have the opportunity to pick up a wrist band at either the Mendenhall or Minges Ticket Office between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. A maximum of 400 will be distributed on Tuesday.
Then on Wednesday, Nov. 13 ANY graduating senior will be able to pick up a wristband. Once all 500 are gone, there are no more!
In order to qualify for a wristband, you must be graduating in either December 2013 or May 2014 and must present your ECU OneCard to verify your enrollment status. At that time, you will be handed a plastic wristband, which must be put on immediately. Wristbands are non-transferrable and only students wearing a wristband will be allowed on the field on Saturday.
Those students selected for the Senior Tunnel are asked to meet at the field entrance by Section 12 at the start of half time. Students will be escorted onto the field, given a gift (compliments of the Pirate Club) and put in place for the tunnel. Once the team runs out, students will be escorted back off the field.
