Pirates Fall To Eighth At Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --- The East Carolina men's golf team is in eighth-place after two rounds of play at the 2013 Seminole Intercollegiate being held at the Southwood Golf Course. The Pirates have fired a 4-over 292 Saturday and dropped to 4-over 580 (288-292), 19 strokes behind first-place Florida State.
The Seminoles shot a 4-under 284 in round two to move to 15-under 561 and maintain a one-stroke lead over second-place Mississippi State at 14-under 562. Coastal Carolina is in third-place at 10-under followed by Ohio State (-6) and South Florida (-4).
FSU's Daniel Berger and Sebastian Soderburg of Coastal Carolina are tied for the individual lead at 8-under 136. Rowin Caron of Florida State and Mississippi State's Joe Sakulpolphasian are two strokes back with five additional players within three strokes tied for fifth.
Among the players tied for fifth is ECU freshman Grayson Murray. Murray fired a 3-under 69 to move to 5-under through 36 holes. He recorded four birdies Saturday, including three on the back-nine.
Senior Zach Edmondson shot par in round two to remain at 1-under, but fell from 13th to 19th. Junior Ryan Eibner stands at 4-over after firing a 4-over 76 in the second round and is tied for 36th. Fellow junior Eric Brady shot 3-over 75 for the second straight day and is tied for45th at 6-over.
