PINEHURST, N.C. --- Indiana junior Seth Brandon shot a three-over par 75 Monday afternoon, but retains the overall lead with an even-par score of 144 (69-75) after two rounds of play at the 2008 Pinehurst Intercollegiate.

The final round of the three-day, 54-hole event will be played on Tuesday. The tournament is being contested on the par 72, 7,035-yard Centennial Pinehurst No. 8.

Brandon's teammates, Jorge Campillo (71-74) and Ren Han (70-75) along with East Carolina junior Markus Leandersson (72-73) are each one stroke back of the leader at one-over par 145.

Coupled with its opening-round two-under par 286, 26th-ranked Indiana holds a commanding 24-stroke lead over second place Eastern Kentucky. The Hoosiers fired a six-over par 292 Monday and have a two-day score of 578. The Colonels are in second place with a 36-hole total of 26-over par 602 (304-298). VCU is in third place with a 27-over par 603 (303-300).

East Carolina moved into 10th place by tallying a total score of 38-over par 614 (311-303).

Leandersson fired the Pirates' lowest score of round two with a one-over par 73. Freshman Warren Straub carded a two-over par 74 Monday and is tied for 33rd at nine-over (79-74=153).

Junior Andre Thorsen and sophomores Tanner Briele and Tripp Brizendine each recorded a second round score of six-over par 78. Briele is 13-over (79-78=157) for the tournament, while Thorsen is at 15-over par (81-78=159) and Brizendine is 19-over (85-78=163).
