TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --- The East Carolina men's golf team finished eight the Seminole Intercollegiate hosted by Florida State at the Southwood Golf Course with a final round 290. The Pirates finished with a 3-day total of 6-over 870 (288-292-290).
Florida State led wire-to-wire with a 25-under 839 (277-284-278) and finished seven strokes ahead of second-place Mississippi State at 18-under 846 (278-284-284). Coastal Carolina placed third at 12-under 852, followed by South Florida (-3) and Ohio State (-2) to round out the top five.
The Seminoles' Daniel Berger earned individual medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 11-under 205. A trio of golfers finished tied for second at 10-under 206.
ECU freshman Grayson Murray fired a 73 in the third round to conclude the tournament at 4-under 212 (70-69-73), alone in 10th-place. Senior Zach Edmondson also fired a 73 Sunday to finish tied for 17th at 1-over 216 (71-72-73).
Junior Eric Brady turned in the Pirates' lowest round of the day at 1-under 71. Brady carded a 75 in each of the first two rounds and earned 34th-place at 5-over 221 (75-75-71). Fellow junior Ryan Eibner shot 2-over in round three to finish at 6-over 222 (72-76-74) in 40th position. Freshman Jacob Hicks and redshirt freshman Al Dickens tied for 51st at 12-over 228.
The Pirates return to the links on March 24 at the Seahawk Intercollegiate in Wilmington, N.C.
