WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Seahawk Intercollegiate was shortened to 36 holes today, as the East Carolina men's golf team finished 10th with a 62-over par 638 at the Country Club of Landfall. Junior Eric Brady tied for 10th at 7-over par 151 (76-75). Inclement weather over the past two days forced the final round to be cancelled.

The Pirates opened Saturday with an 29-over par 317 in the first round split between yesterday and today, and finished with a 33-over par 321 in the second round. After playing in damp conditions in the opening round, the teams played in harsh winds, with gusts measuring 20-30 miles per hour Monday.

Brady has been the top Pirate in four of ECU's nine stroke play events this season, posting his third top-10 finish.

Senior Zach Edmondson tied for 34th with a 14-over par 151 (76-75). Junior Ryan Eibner (77-81) tied for 5th at 20-over 164 (78-86). Freshmen George Kilgore (88-79=167) and Stephen Lavenets (86-89=175) rounded out the Pirate lineup in 65th and 68th place.

Host UNC Wilmington won the tournament with a 28-over par 604, finishing one shot ahead of host Kent State. The Seahawks' Payne McLeod finished first individually by five shots with a 1-under par 143.

The Pirates return to action on April 6-7 at the Irish Creek Invitational in Kannapolis.
