First Round Play Suspended At Raleigh Regional

RALEIGH, N.C. --- East Carolina senior Eric Brady was 1-under par through eight holes before first round play was suspended because of inclement weather at the NCAA Men's Golf Regional Championship at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club on the Centennial Campus of NC State University Thursday. Play will resume Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. Round two will begin 30 minutes following each group's completion of the first round.

Brady, ECU's lone qualifier, trails the leader by four shots with 10 holes to play. He will continue at the ninth hole Friday. Brady began the day by paring the par five first hole. He brought his score to 1-under par with a birdie at the par three second. He then pared the next six holes before play was suspended.

Richy Werenski of Georgia Tech was the individual leader at five-under par after 17 holes when play was halted. None of the 75 competitors completed round one.
