ECU Men's Golf Tied For Ninth At VCU Shootout

MANAKIN-SABOT, Va. - The East Carolina men's golf team sits tied for ninth-place in the 12-team field at VCU Shootout following two rounds of competition Monday.
The Pirates carded a 33-over 609 after a first round 303 and a second round 306. Wichita State leads the tournament with a 4-over 580 (288-292). Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Long Beach State and Maryland round out the top five squads.
Junior Ryan Eibner posted the Pirates' lowest score of the day at 6-over 150, firing 3-over 75 in each round. Eibner is currently tied for 24th, nine strokes behind Maryland's Sean Bosdosh, who leads the field at 3-under 141 (70-71).
ECU junior Eric Brady is one stroke behind his teammate at 7-over 151 (75-76) and is tied for 27th. Senior Zach Edmondson is tied for 31st at 8-over 152 (75-77) with freshman Stephen Lavenets tied for 50th at 12-over 156 (78-78). Senior Matt Kocolowski, playing as an individual, also fired a 12-over 156 (75-81). Redshirt freshman Al Dickens, playing in his first collegiate tournament, is tied for 66th at 21-over 165 (82-83).
The Pirates will tee-off third round play Tuesday morning at 8:45 a.m., playing alongside VCU and James Madison.
