RALEIGH, N.C. --- East Carolina had four players finish among the top-13 to lead the Pirates to a runner-up finish at the 2012 Wolfpack Intercollegiate, concluding its fall season. ECU finished at par 864 after shooting 1-under 287 in Saturday's final round.
ECU junior Eric Brady recorded his first top-5 finish of the season, tying for fourth-place at 1-under 215 (73-71-71). Brady posted two birdies and an eagle during the final round. Senior Ryan Eibner shot par-72 for the third consecutive round to finish tied for ninth-place at par-216.
Senior Zach Edmondson and freshman Stephen Lavenets tied for 13th at 2-over 218. Lavenets posted the team's lowest round of the day at 2-under 70 moving up 12 places in the final standings. Edmondson fired a 3-over 75 to fall out of the top-3.
Freshman Jacob Hicks carded his best round of the tournament Saturday shooting par-72 to finish at 7-over 223 (75-76-72) to tie for 36th. Redshirt freshman Al Dickens fired a third round 2-over 74 to earn 42nd-place finish at 9-over 225 (74-77-74).
North Carolina claimed the team title with a 10-under 854. The Tar Heels posted the lowest round of the tournament with a 12-under 276 during the final round. NC State finished in third place at 14-over 878 followed by Western Carolina (879) and Maryland (880) to round out the top-5.
ECU will begin the spring portion of its schedule Feb. 4 at the Sea Best Seafood Intercollegiate in Ponte Verda Beach, Fla.
