Adrienne Millican Sits In A Tie For Seventh At the Tulane Invitational
02/10/2004 GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Junior Adrienne Millican posted a 36-hole nine-over par 153 (75-78) at the Tulane Invitational tying her for seventh place after two rounds. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 6,075-yard course at the English Turn Golf and Country Club in New Orleans, La. Millican sits 12 strokes off the lead heading into the final round of play on Tuesday morning, behind Tulane's Mary Ellen Jacobs, who is currently three-under par (69-72=141). Fellow Green Wave Liliana Alvarez is five shots behind Jacobs posting 70-76 for a 146 total. Rounding out the top five are LSU's Vicky Meyer (74-74=148), Tulane's Lindsay Hulwick (75-74=149), and Ole Miss' Adrienne White (73-77=150). The Lady Pirates (71-20-1) are one of nine teams participating in this year's tournament along with: Univ. of Alabama, Campbell, LSU, Univ. of Mississippi, Mississippi State, Univ. of New Orleans, TCU, and host school Tulane. ECU currently sits in seventh place in the team section of the tournament after a two-round total of 648 (325-323). The Green Wave occupy first place after rounds of 288 and 301 for a 20 shot lead over second place LSU (303-306=609). Ole Miss rounds out the top three sitting 31 strokes behind Tulane after posting a 303 and 317 on day one of the tournament.
