Watkins Earns Third Weekly C-USA Honor

IRVING, Texas - East Carolina's David Watkins earned Conference USA Golfer-of-the-Week honors for the third time this season as announced by the league office Wednesday.
Watkins claimed his second win of the season after he fired a nine-under-par 207 (71-69-67) at the River Landing Intercollegiate at the par-72 course. The sophomore entered the final round two strokes back but carded a season low five-under-par 67 to win by a single stroke. It marked his fifth top-20 finish of the season and third top 10. It was also his second victory in the last five events.
