WALLACE, N.C. - The East Carolina University men's golf team will co-host the River Landing Intercollegiate with UNCW at the River Landing Country Club in Wallace, N.C., with a 36-hole fixed tee start on Friday followed by 18 holes on Saturday.
Along with ECU and UNCW, the rest of the field includes Campbell, George Mason, Loyola (Md.), Maryland, Richmond, Tulsa, VCU and Winthrop.
The Pirates lineup will feature senior Eric Brady along with sophomores Wes Conover, George Kilgore, Al Dickens and Jacob Hicks. Freshman Clay Brown will compete in the event as an individual as will sophomores Josh Chandler and Stephen Lavenets.
East Carolina returns to action after finishing 10th at the Irish Creek Collegiate tournament in Kannapolis April 5-6. Brady was the highlight of the invitational for the Pirates, recording his sixth top-15 finish of the season, tying for 12th at 3-over-par.
The River Landing Intercollegiate is the final tournament ECU will compete in before the Conference USA Championships; April 27-29 in Edmonds, Okla.
Play is scheduled to begin on Friday at 7:30 a.m. ET. Hicks will tee off first for the Pirates off of hole No. 1 at 8:30 a.m., with Dickens, Kilgore, Conover and Brady to follow, respectively, in 10 minute intervals. The individual threesome of Chandler, Brown and Lavenets will begin their rounds at 7:40 a.m., also in 10 minute intervals.
