ECU's Harris Finishes Tied for Second at Wofford Invitational

SPARTANSBURG, S.C. -- East Carolina's Jason Harris finished in a tie for
second place Saturday at the Wofford Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C. The
tournament, which was hosted by Wofford College, was being played at the
par-72, 6,842-yard Carolina Country Club. UNC Wilmington posted a second
round score of 289, one-over par and defeated Maryland in a two-hole sudden
death playoff. Harris finished the tournament with a one-over par 143 (68-75). Maryland's Tim Kane won the individual title posting a first and second round score of 69, for a tournament total of 138. East Carolina finished in fourth place after shooting a second round 304 and finishing the tournament 16-over par at 592. The Pirates shot 288 in the first round and was tied for the lead after round one with Central Florida, who posted a second round score of 299 and finished in third place with a total of 587. Jonathan Hill finished in a tie for seventh place, finishing the tournament at 146 (70-76). Kevin Miller (74-78) and Brandon Pace (76-76) finished in a tie for 28th with a two-day total of 152. The men will return to action in two weeks when they travel to Pensacola, Fla. to compete in the Conference USA Championships. That tournament will be held April 21-23.
