IRVING, Texas - East Carolina sophomore Wes Conover has been named the Conference USA Men's Golfer-of-the-Week after winning the 2014 River Landing Intercollegiate with a 4-under par 212 (69-73-70=212) leading the Pirates to their first tournament title since 2012.

He defeated Tulsa's Logan McCracken by one stroke to earn individual medalist honors for the first time in his career. The sophomore shot a first-round 69, his second-lowest round of the year, en route to posting his lowest 54-hole score of the season. Conover entered the final round one stroke behind VCU's Adam Ball for the lead, and birdied 17 and pared 18 to win. The Holly Springs, N.C. native's score included 13 birdies, second-most among all players in the 60-man field.

This is Conover's second Conference USA Golfer-of-the-Week award of the season (Feb. 6) and of his career.
