Eric Brady Named to the C-USA All-Academic Team

GREENVILLE, N.C. --- East Carolina junior Eric Brady has been named to the 2012-13 Conference USA Men's Golf All-Academic Team. He is one of five first-time selections to the team.
The Cary, N.C. native leads the Pirates in stroke average (74.2) in 29 rounds this season and was named to the Dean's List during the 2012 fall semester. He has placed among the top 10 in three tournaments this season, including one top-five finish. Brady has posted six overall top-20 finishes with his season-best fourth-place finish coming at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate. His lowest round of the season has been a 5-under 67 in the second round of the Rod Myers Invitational.
To be eligible, student-athletes must hold a minimum 3.2 GPA and compete in at least 75 percent of their team's scheduled tournaments. The team is voted for by the league's sports information contacts for men's golf.
Brady maintains a 3.85 GPA as an economics major as was recently named as a recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner's Medal for achieving a grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or better.
Houston's Kyle Pilgrim, Marshall's Brian Anania, Memphis' Grant Milner and Martin Simonsen of UTEP were also voted onto the team for the first time. Tulsa's Chris Worrell was the lone repeat performer.
