NORMAN, Okla. --- East Carolina graduate Eric Brady has been selected as a 2013-14 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for Divisions I, II and the NAIA, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced.
Brady is one of 207 players in Division I, 75 in Division II and 11 in NAIA to earn the honor. He graduated holding a cumulative GPA of 3.60 with a bachelor's of science degree in economics.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
A Division I PING All-East Region Team selection, Brady led the Pirates with a 73.34 scoring average this past season, 10th lowest single-season average in school history. He recorded four top 10 finishes and became just the third ECU player to receive an individual invitational to the NCAA Championships.
