NEWPORT, R.I. - The East Carolina men's golf team sits in 15th place heading into final round action Tuesday at the Adams Cup of Newport. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 7,244 yard Newport National Golf Club.

Texas A&M moved ahead of second-place South Carolina-Aiken by six strokes during the afternoon round after registering the lowest team score of the day (297) at nine-over par. The Pirates (15-4) posted rounds of 329 and 319 for a 36-hole score of 648 and sit 19 shots back of tenth place.

In the individual portion of the tournament Scott Brown (72-74) of South Carolina-Aiken and Bronson Burgoon (74-72) of Texas A&M are tied for the individual lead at two-over par.

Tuesday's final round is scheduled to tee off at at 8:00 a.m.
