LEXINGTON, KY. -- East Carolina's Jessica Krasny shot a first round three-over par 75, and sits in third place at the Wildcat Fall Invitational after the first round. The tournament is being played as the par-72, 6,052-yard at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky.
Senior Pirate Margaret Mitchell, posted a seven-over 79 to finish round one in a tie for 17th place.
Marissa Muir of Kentucky, sits a top the leader board with a one-over par 73 and Natalie Booth of Mississippi State is one stroke back with a round of 74.
The Pirates (19-7) are currently in eighth place of 18 teams after posting a day one total of 321. Mississippi State is in first after firing an opened round of 309. Vanderbuilt sits in second (311) with UNC Wilmington (316) and Kentucky (317) in third and fourth. Virginia and South Florida are tied for fifth after a 318 first round score, and Miami (Fla.) is in seventh just two strokes ahead of the Pirates at 319.
Second round action will continue Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
