GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina men's golf team travels to Raleigh to compete in the 2013 Wolfpack Intercollegiate at the par-72, 7,358-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7-8.
Teams are slated to play the first and second rounds on Monday, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The second round will begin immediately after completion of the opening round. Tuesday's third and final round will also begin at 8 a.m.
The Pirates' lineup includes seniors Eric Brady and Ryan Eibner along with sophomores Al Dickens, Jacob Hicks and George Kilgore. ECU placed second behind North Carolina in last season's Wolfpack Intercollegiate. Three members of the Pirates' 2013 lineup played in the tournament with Brady tying for fourth-place individually at 1-under-par and Eibner tying for ninth at even-par. Dickens also competed in last year's event and finished at 9-over.
Sophomore Wes Conover, who was a member of NC State's club golf team last season, will play as an individual.
East Carolina, which is ranked No. 52 in the last GolfStat rankings, will be competing alongside Arkansas-Little Rock, Boston College, Campbell, Drexel, East Tennessee State, Idaho, Jacksonville State, Maryland, Navy, Rutgers, Temple, UNCG, UNC Wilmington and Western Carolina in addition to the host Wolfpack.
The Pirates are coming off a fifth-place finish at the 2013 Rees Jones Invitational in Daufuskie Island, S.C. Dickens tied for 11th-place individually to earn the best finish of his career as well as for ECU, while Eibner placed 16th and Brady and Hicks tied for 19th.
