NEWPORT, R.I. - The East Carolina University women's golf team will host its second annual Lady Pirate Fall Intercollegiate next Monday and Tuesday, October 14-15. The tournament will take place at the par-71, 5,850 -yard Greenville Country Club.

This year's tournament will begin with two rounds on Monday, October 14 beginning at 8 a.m. and will conclude with a final round on Tuesday, October 15. The 16 teams slated to compete in this year's event are Augusta State, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Elon, James Madison, Longwood, Maryland, Mercer, Methodist, Radford, Richmond, West Florida, Western Carolina, William and Mary, and Xavier.

Last year's tournament, which was also held at the Greenville Country Club, consisted of 18 teams. East Carolina took the team title, while Pirate Adrienne Millican won the individual crown. Millican most recently won the individual title at the Unlimited Potential Baytree Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C., September 6-8.

The ECU women have competed in three events this year, finishing second (Unlimited Potential Baytree Classic), third (Wolverine Invitational) and fourth (Nittany Lion Invitational). The women are 52-6 overall this season.
