Pirates In Second Place After Round One of Play
10/21/2002 GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina University men's golf team is in second place with a score of 287 after the first round of play in the Pirate Fall Intercollegiate. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 7,033-yard Bradford Creek Golf Course in Greenville, N.C. Eastern Kentucky leads the field of 19 teams after the first round of play, shooting 281. The Pirates sit in second place, six strokes off the leader. ECU's Jonathan Hill and Eastern Kentucky's Brandon Brown are in a tie for first place, having shot 66 in the morning outing. Both players shot 33 on each the front and back nine. Round two of the tournament is currently underway and results will be in later this evening. The third and final round of the tournament will be played tomorrow morning beginning at 8 a.m.
