IRVING, Texas - East Carolina senior Eric Brady has been named Conference USA Golfer-of-the-Week for the second time this season following his victory at the Pirate Intercollegiate earlier this week.
Brady earned individual medalist honors at the Pirate Intercollegiate by shooting a 54-hole total of 2-over 215 on the par-71 course. The win was the first for his career. Brady shot 1-over in the first two rounds and then par in the final round to win the tournament by two strokes.
The senior from Cary, N.C., made 10 birdies during competition and recorded his fifth top-10 career finish and is the first ECU medalist since Harold Varner in the fall of 2011.
He joins Varner and David Watkins as the only players in ECU history to earn multiple weekly honors in the same season. He was also named C-USA Golfer-of-the-Week Oct. 16.
