Christian Kuehne was named Assistant Men's Tennis Coach prior to the start of the 2014-15 season after serving as graduate assistant at nationally ranked Florida State the previous two years.
During his stint at FSU, Kuehne served as tournament director for the ITA Regional Championships, USTA Clay Court Invitational and the U.S. Open National Playoff. He also assisted in match scheduling, recruiting and travel coordination. He worked with several nationally ranked players and helped the Seminoles to consecutive NCAA Championship appearances.
Born and raised in Germany, Kuehne earned All-Big West honorable mentions accolades in doubles as a freshman at the University of the Pacific as a freshman in 2008-09. The Tigers won the Big West regular season title and finished the year ranked No. 67. At the conclusion of the season, he transferred to the University of South Alabama, where he was a three-year letterman and an all-conference academic team selection. He served as the Jaguars' team captain for two years and helped the squad earn a national ranking of 42.
Kuehne graduated from South Alabama in 2012 with a degree in leisure studies and earned a master's of science from Florida State in 2013.
