GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The East Carolina men's tennis team swept four doubles matches from College of Charleston Saturday on the second day of the ECU Fall Shootout at the River Birch Tennis Center. Massimo Mannino and Henrik Skalmerud were victorious in singles action.
Jaroslav Horvath teamed with Joran Vliegen to defeat Kyle Parker and Steven Hardy and No. 1 doubles, 8-6. The duo of Stian Tvedt and Skalmerud along with the combo of Mannino and John Schmitt were 9-7 winners at flight No. 2 and 3. Mario Martinez and David Masciorini posted an 8-3 victory at No. 4.
Mannino and Skalmerud victorious in straight sets. Mannino defeated Parker 6-3, 7-6 (4) and Skalmerud was 6-2, 6-2 winner over CofC's Billy Kenny.
The tournament concludes Sunday with the Pirates facing Richmond beginning at 9:30 a.m.
