DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Davidson put a halt to East Carolina's two-match win streak with a 6-1 win over the Lady Pirates in college women's tennis action on Thursday afternoon.

The Wildcats swept the doubles competition and claimed victories at five of the six singles flights. East Carolina's lone victory of the day came at flight six, where Cristina Meilicke defeated Davidson's Gayle Jones in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.

The loss drops the Lady Pirates to 5-3 in spring dual match competition. ECU will play at Conference USA rival Charlotte on Friday at 2 p.m.
