ITA Carolina Region Singles Draw | ITA Carolina Region Doubles Draw

CARY, N.C. --- East Carolina senior Joran Vliegen defeated third-seeded Michael Redlinki of Duke 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-2 Sunday to advance to the final of the ITA Carolina Regional Championships at the Cary Tennis Center.

The seventh-seeded Belgian will face 14th-seeded Brett Clark of North Carolina Monday morning at 10 a.m. in search of his first ITA singles title. He would be the first ECU player to win the regional tournament.

In other action, Vliegen and doubles partner Colin Roller, the tournament's No. 4 seed, were eliminated from competition with an 8-5 loss to fifth-seeded Tsvetan Mihov and Thiago Pinheiro of South Carolina in the quarterfinals.

The doubles and singles regional champions will advance to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Nov. 7-10 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
