Trent Fuchs Finishes First in the 800-Meter Run At The Duke Invitational
04/04/2004 Durham, N.C. -- Sophomore Trent Fuchs recorded a time of 1:54.98 in the 800-meter run to earn top honors at the Duke Invitational this weekend at Wallace Wade Stadium. The men's 4x100 team, comprised of Reginald Williams, DeAndre Hyman, Thomas Lewis, and B.J. Henderson also claimed first place honors as they posted a time of 40.39. During the two day event, the Pirates placed 13 members in the top 20 in 14 events. Kyle McKenzie recorded a sixth place finish in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:58.82. In the 400-meter seeded dash, ECU had three runners in the top 15 with Domonick Richmond finishing 10th (48.23), Darrus Coefield (48.53) 13th, and Micheal Hillian (48.80) placed 15th. The Pirates will compete next weekend at the Sea-Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn. on April 8-10.
