CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The East Carolina University men's cross country team competed in their second event of the season, with a solid performance at the North Carolina Challenge.

Kristian Jorgensen led the way for the team with a 14th place finish, behind a host of participants from North Carolina. Jorgensen's (27:15) earned him 11 points total in the competition. The Pirates Chris Belfiore followed just ten seconds later for a 16th place finish. Rounding out the Pirates that participated in the competition was Will Collins (23, 28:02), Michael Scott (28, 30:31), Drew Jenkins (29, 31:08), and Michael Cosolito (30, 32:19).

ECU's next scheduled meet is the McAlister's Deli Invite, set to be held in Greenville at the Lake Kristi Course.
