Women's Basketball Honors Seniors Thursday Against Southern Miss

Pirates and Golden Eagles Close Regular Season in Greenville

As a Freshman (2010-11): Led the Cougars and was sixth in the nation in scoring at 21.8 points per game, earning her National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Second-Team All-America honors ... Paced Frederick to a 25-6 overall record and 10-3 ledger in the Maryland Junior College Conference (MJCC) as the Cougars reached the championship game of the Region XX Tournament ... FCC also began the season with a 14-game winning streak ... The First-Team All-MJCC honoree, in addition to her scoring output, averaged 9.8 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game while turning in a 51-percent shooting mark from the field and 80-percent showing at the free throw line ... Ended the season ranked second in the league in scoring and free throw percentage, third in blocks, fourth in steals and ninth in rebounding ... Also earned recognition just weeks into her collegiate career as she was named the MJCC Athlete-of-the-Month for November ... Originally signed with Colonial Athletic Association perennial powerhouse James Madison University before transferring to Frederick.

At Robert E. Lee High School: Earned all-state honorable mention honors and was named to the VirginiaPreps.com All-State Second Team as a senior, averaging 19.9 points and 14.0 rebounds while passing the 1,000 career point mark ... Was voted the most valuable player at the 2008 Northern Region Tournament as she helped lead Lee to the championship ... Is a two-time all-region first-team honoree and a three-time All-Patriot District First-Team selection and also garnered Washington Post All-Metro honorable mention as well as VirginiaPreps.com All-State Second-Team accolades in 2008 ... Was named Lee's offensive MVP after the 2008 season and earned team MVP honors in 2006 and 2008 before receiving the nod as team captain for the 2009 campaign ... Also received valuable experience in the AAU ranks as her Fairfax Stars team was the 2004 U12 national champion ... In the U13 ranks, Fairfax finished 13th nationally in 2005 and 16th in the U14 category in 2006 ... In addition to their national success, the Stars won the Potomac Valley Region championship in 2004-05 and were the runner-up in 2006 ... Additionally, Mial put in time with the James Lee Razorbacks AAU squad, helping it to a Potomac Valley Region runner-up showing in 2007 ... Proved to be a solid student as she was a consistent member of the honor roll at Robert E. Lee and a 2009 National Honor Roll inductee.
