Allison Nichols begins her first season as Director of Operations for the East Carolina women's basketball team. "Allison is a quality person and will do an outstanding job for us as the director of basketball operations," head coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener stated. "She was responsible for so many areas at Augusta State and I look forward to the positives she brings to our staff with her experiences." Nichols joins the Pirate staff after two years as an assistant coach at Augusta State. She helped coach the Jaguars to a share of the Peach Belt regular season title and a second round NCAA Division II Tournament appearance this past season. Before going to Augusta State, she was an assistant varsity and head junior varsity coach at Loudoun County (Va.) High School. Nichols helped guide Loudoun to a region championship and trip to the state semifinals. She played and earned her degree at Bridgewater (Va.) College and was part of a team that won two regular season conference titles. |
