Simone Trice enters her second season after joining the East Carolina women's basketball staff in the fall of 2013 as the manager for basketball operations and promoted to director of operations in December.
Trice came to ECU after interning at the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) in marketing and sales. At the WBCA, Trice assisted with client services, research, and preparation of the National Coaches Convention as well as the NCAA Final Four weekend. Additionally, she was responsible for the logistics of the events including the WBCA's Award Show, the High School All-American Game, on-court demonstrations, and VIP parties. Trice also managed the social media sites and was instrumental in improving the advertisement of sales for WBCA publications including the WBCA's magazine, newsletter, website, convention program, and program events.
Prior to her work at the WBCA, Trice worked in several leadership roles including but not limited to serving as a group leader and classroom assistant in Flint (Mich.) Community Schools, and was a sales team leader for the Francis Marion University Campus Directory.
A native of Flint, Mich., Trice brings a wealth of promotional experience to East Carolina. She served a number of stints organizing events while employed by GT Events and Ascent Talent. Trice also has an extensive volunteer background as she has been involved in 7 Brides to Recover, Big Brother Big Sisters, and the Boys and Girls Club.
As an undergraduate at Francis Marion, Trice was a student-athlete under head coach Heather Macy from 2009-12 where she served as a team captain. Before transferring to Francis Marion, Trice was a member of the Georgia Tech women's basketball team from 2007-09.
Trice owns a Bachelor of Business Administration from Francis Marion in 2012. She currently resides in Greenville, N.C.
