Jocelyn Wyatt begins her first season as an assistant coach with East Carolina. Wyatt spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of Georgia.

"I am very excited about the addition of Jocelyn Wyatt to our staff," head coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener said.."She is a very motivated and driven person and she will be a great asset for ECU basketball on the court, in recruiting and in the community. Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious. She has been associated with one of the top programs in the country the past two seasons and has gained some valuable experience that will be very beneficial to our program."

During her two years at Georgia, the Lady Bulldogs compiled a 50-17 overall record, including a 19-9 mark in SEC play. UGA also earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament both seasons, advancing to the regional semifinals in 2007.

Wyatt was a three-year letterwinner at Appalachian State while playing for fellow Lady Pirate assistant coach Adrienne Shuler. She had 31 starts in 83 games played for the Mountaineers, including 21 of 28 games as a senior. Wyatt averaged 9.3 points per game as a senior, including a career-high 19 points against Chattanooga while also swatting a team-high 28 blocked shots despite playing at the guard position.

She received her bachelor's degree in exercise science (with minors in biology and psychology) from Appalachian State in May 2006 and was a four-time member of the academic honor roll. From 2003-06, Wyatt was a member of both the Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) as she served as vice president of that organization as a senior.

The Lawrenceville, Ga. native played one season at Kennesaw State in 2001-02 before transferring to Appalachian. She started 19 of 27 games played that year and averaged 7.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for the Owls.

A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Wyatt spent four summers as an assistant director with Peach State Basketball, Inc., coordinating instructional camps and high school showcases. She also served as a counselor and coach at the University of Georgia summer basketball camps.
