GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's basketball program will hold a variety of camps this summer at Minges Coliseum. ECU Head Coach Heather Macy will serve as the host for the camps as well as provide instruction, along with the rest of the women's basketball staff and team members.
The first session is a Day Camp scheduled for June 18-21. The camp is for ages 8-15 and the cost is $195 per camper. The price includes lunch each day and a camp t-shirt. Campers will be instructed on fundamentals and will take part in games, competitions and even swimming.
The Position Camp (June 29-30) is designed for athletes in grades 5-12. The cost is $45 for one day or $90 for both days. Individual skill instruction will be available for point guards as well as perimeter players and back to the basket post play.
Team camp, scheduled for June 24-27 is open to high school varisty and junior varsity squads as well as middle school and AAU teams. The full camp features a guaranteed nine games and costs $250 with housing and meals while the mini camp will give teams four games and is $100 without housing and meals.
During team camp, seminars will be offered on game fundamentals, NCAA compliance rules, recruiting tips and strength and conditioning for the high school athlete.
Finally, the Elite Camp is slated for August 5 and is available for advanced athletes in grades 9-12 who wish to play at the collegiate level. Drills will be led by Macy and her staff. The cost for Elite Camp is $45 for the single day.
