ECU's Jennifer Jackson Named To NCCSIA All-State First Team
04/08/2005 GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina's Jennifer Jackson was named first-team University Division All-State by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA). She is one of two players from Conference USA named to the first-team. The team consists of NCAA Division I student-athletes from North Carolina colleges and universities. Nominees were submitted by the state's sports information professionals. NCCSIA members voted for the all-state teams. Jackson, who also earned second-team All C-USA honors, helped the Pirates (10-18, 6-8) to their third consecutive Conference USA Tournament appearance this season. During her senior campaign, Jackson led the Pirates in scoring (16.4) and rebounds (6.3). She finished the season ranked eighth in C-USA in scoring, ninth in 3-point field goals made and free throw percentage, 14th in offensive rebounds and 15th in overall rebounding. Jackson, a native of Farmville, Va., cemented herself in the Pirate record books as she moved into fifth place all-time on ECU's scoring list with 1,490 career points. She also ranks second all-time in three-pointers made, second in free throw accuracy, fifth in field goal accuracy and eighth in scoring average. Founded in 2002, The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina.
