GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's basketball team will make two television appearances in 2006-07, as released by Conference USA on Tuesday.

The Lady Pirates makes their first of two television appearance on Jan. 28, when the team travels to Huntington, W.Va. for a 3:00 p.m. EST tip-off against Marshall.

ECU then travels to Tulsa for an ESPN2 game on Feb. 11. The 5:30 p.m. EST tip-off is the first East Carolina women's basketball on ESPN2 since head coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener took over the reigns prior to the 2002-03 season.

"We are very excited to play two televised games on CSTV and ESPN2," Baldwin-Tener said. "It is a testament to how far we have come as a program in the last few years and will bring national attention to both East Carolina and the Lady Pirates."

CSTV will carry the two semifinal games of the 2007 C-USA Women's Basketball Tournament, while ESPN2 will pick up the championship game live on March 4.

The Lady Pirates open the 2006-07 season on Nov. 12 as they travel to James Madison for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off. ECU returns nine letterwinners from last year's squad that went 17-12, recording the teams' best finish in 14 years.
