IRVING, Texas - The East Carolina women's basketball team will make a minimum of two appearances on national television this season, according to an announcement by Conference USA Tuesday.

The Lady Pirates make their first showing Jan. 4 when they welcome Marshall to Minges Coliseum for the start of league play. The contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be aired live on CBS College Sports. ECU and the Thundering Herd split a pair of meetings last season, with each squad winning on its home court.

The coverage continues Feb. 27 as the Lady Pirates travel to the FedEx Forum for a game against Memphis. CBS College Sports will air the contest live at 2 p.m. East Carolina defeated the Tigers at Minges Coliseum last season before Memphis rallied to best the Lady Pirates at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse a month later.

If ECU qualifies for the semifinals and championship game of the 2010 C-USA Women's Basketball Championship in Tulsa, those matchups are slated for live broadcast by CBS College Sports.

The Lady Pirates made four television appearances last season, falling to SMU (TWC Dallas) and Tulane (CBS College Sports) on the road while defeating Southern Miss (WITN) and Rice (CBS College Sports) in Greenville.
