STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - East Carolina sophomore Lene Krog carded a final round of 72 to finish tied for second at the 2007 John Kirk/Lady Panther Invitational in the 36-hole tournament at Eagle's Landing Country Club.

Krog, who recorded her 14th career top-10 finish, posted a 36-hole tournament score of 141 (69-72) finishing one stroke behind Memphis' Stacey Tate (68-72=140). Fellow Pirate Emelie Lind finished tied for 12th after a 148 (69-79) score, while Abby Bools tied for 39th (77-78=155), Ana Maria Puche tied for 44th (76-80=156) and Jessica Hauser tied for 57th (80-78=158).

ECU (77-47-3) finished in fourth place and 13 strokes behind Maryland, who took home the team title with a tournament score of 585 (283-302). The Terrapins finished five shots ahead of Louisville (295-295=590), 11 shots in front of Birmingham Southern (297-299=596), 13 ahead of ECU (291-307=598) and 18 ahead of fifth place Campbell (301-302=603).

The Pirates will be back in action on April 23-25 when they travel to Birmingham, Ala. trying to defend their Conference USA Tournament title.
