Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - East Carolina posted an opening day score of 575 (1-under par) and currently sits in second place at the Web.com Intercollegiate after 36 holes of play. The two-day, 54-hole event is being held at the Marsh Landing Country Club.

The Pirates, who posted rounds of 289 and 286 (season-low), are seven shots behind tournament leader No. 35 Florida State (568/8-under). Chattanooga (577/1-over) is currently in third place followed by Minnesota (580/4-over) and No. 17 UCF (580/4-over), who are tied for fourth. Heading into final round action, ECU is also ahead of No. 24 Ohio State (582/sixth place) and No. 38 Louisville (590/ninth).

Junior Katie Kirk and sophomore Frida Gustafsson Spang are tied for 14th after day one with a 1-under 143. Kirk fired rounds of 70 and 73, while Spang posted a 74 and 69 - the latter being one shot off her season-low round.

Sophomore Nicoline Engstroem Skaug is one shot behind Kirk and Spang in a tie for 20th at 144 (even-par) following a pair of even par rounds of 72. Senior Fanny Wolte (73-73) is tied for 28th after a 36-hole score of 146 (2-over par), while sophomore Lane Gakeler (76-72) holds a share of 37th at 148 (4-over).

Florida State's Matilda Castren (135/9-under) holds a two-stroke lead over Chattanooga's Jordan Britt (137/7-under) and Maryland's Juliet Vongphoumy (137/7-under), while Britt's teammate Emily McLennan (139/5-under) and James Madison's Shabril Brewer (139/5-under) are tied for fourth place.

Final round action will begin Tuesday morning with an 8:30 a.m. (ET) shotgun start.
