Wolte Tied For Eighth At Marsh Landing Invitational

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Junior Fanny Wolte carded a pair of even round 72's and is currently tied for eighth place with 18 holes remaining at the Marsh Landing Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville University. The 20-team event opened with two rounds of play Monday and will wrap up with the third and final round on Tuesday.
Wolte, who carded six birdies on the first day, sits six shots off the lead with an even-par 144. Sophomore Katie Kirk (74-87) and freshman Frida Gustafsson Spang (76-76) are tied for 53rd with a score of 152. Fellow sophomore Emily Eng (77-77) and freshman Nico Engstroem Skaug (76-78) are tied for 66th with a 36-hole score of 154
The Pirates, one of six teams ranked in the Top-50 in the field sitting at No. 49, posted rounds of 298 and 303 for a 36-hole scored of 601 (25-over par) and are tied with Chattanooga, Maryland and Michigan.
No. 41 Purdue leads the tournament at 2-under, while No. 28 Iowa State is five strokes off the lead at 3-over and No. 17 Texas Tech is third at 4-over.
