GREENSBORO, N.C. - On the fifth-player scorecard tiebreaker, UNC Greensboro edged out defending tournament champion East Carolina for the team title at the UNCG-Starmount Fall Classic at historic Starmount Forest Country Club on Tuesday in collegiate women's golf action.

The Pirates (29-9) shot a final round of 301, while the Spartans carded a final round of 303 to finish tied at 894. UNCG's third through fifth golfers each recorded rounds of 78 on Tuesday, while East Carolina's fifth score was a 79 by Ana Maria Puche gave UNCG the tournament crown.

Abby Bools (220) claimed her 12th career Top 10 finish after carding a final round 77 to claim second place, two shots behind individual champion Stacey Miller (218) of Illinois State.

Sophomore Amber Littman finished tied for 11th, her best finish of the season, with a tournament score of 226. Puche took home a share of 14th place with a score of 227, while Colleen Estes (230) shared 22nd place and Amy Otteson (233) tied for 35th.

The Pirates will return to action next Sunday, Oct. 19 when they host the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate at Greenville Country Club.
