GREENVILLE, N.C. -The East Carolina women's golf team will open spring play today when they participate in the 2009 Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, which is hosted by Ohio State University.

The three-day, 54-hole event, will be held at the par-71, 5,912-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif. and will feature a 16-team field including Arizona State, Baylor, Brigham Young, California, Denver, Florida, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Pepperdine, Stanford, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC and Wake Forest, along with ECU.

The teams will play 18-holes on Monday and Tuesday starting at 9 a.m., while final round action will start with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Wednesday.
