Krog Tied For 12th At Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

East Carolina's Lene Krog fired a four-over par 76 (39-37) and currently sits in a tie for 12th place at the 34th Annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. The tournament is being held at the par 72, 6,288-yard University of Georgia Golf Course. The Pirates (65-25-3) struggled in first round action as they posted score of 322 and are currently in 17th place. Heidi Helliesesn and Jessica Hauser each fired rounds of 85 and are tied for 78th, while Emelie Lind's 86 put her in a tie for 83rd and Jamie Quinn's 95 places her in 94th place. In the individual portion of the tournament Jackie Beers from Georgia carded a three-under par 69 and leads Nannette Hill (Wake Forest) by three strokes. A trio of golfers are tied for third led by two Bulldogs in Mallory Hetzel and Alina Lee along side Alabama's Jenny Suh, who are all sitting six strokes behind Beers at 74. Wake Forest (298) holds a slim lead over Georgia (301) in the team portion. Vanderbilt (305) sits in third with Florida State (307) and Auburn (308) sitting in fourth and fifth respectively.
