East Regional Championship Central l NCAA Championship Central

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's golf team will open up the 2010 NCAA East Regional Thursday, May 6. The event is being played at the par-72, 6,321-yard Ironwood Golf Club in Greenville, N.C.

The Pirates (102-64-1) earned an at-large bid as the No. 20 seed and are set to tee off in the afternoon from the first tee at 1:25 p.m. (EDT) and will be paired with Coastal Carolina and the College of Charleston.

A total of 369 participants have been selected for the regional competition. Of these players, 126 will advance to the championships finals May 18-21 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C. and will be hosted by UNC-Wilmington. Eight teams and two individuals will advance from each region.
